Last March we announced our road to Le Mans, and today we can confirm that we keep pushing into our way to the big race, and we start competing internationaly with our participation at the Porsche Carrera Cup France.
In these past months after the official announcement of our team RGB in partnership with the University Antonio Nebrija we helped many students of the Master in Competition of the University to live in frontline the emotion and adrenaline of the races, participating firstly at the Copa Racer (Mini races), a perfect work field for our engineers, mechanics and students on practice, in a one make cup which has enabled us to maintain the pulse of the competition, work as a team and keep learning.
In this time our Team Principal and team founder, Roberto Gómez Bueno, hasn`t stop competing, being at the Copa Racer, participating in tests with Porsche, giving service at track days and participating as track engineer at the Porsche Carrera Cup France and Porsche Monil1 Supercup, the Formula 1 prelude. This work at the highest leve lof competition and his long experience with Porsche has pushed us to the next step in this road to #Lemans25 : our structure will take partat the last two races of the Porsche Carrera Cup France, one of the one make series of the german motorist which are the basement of the pyramid whose top would be the Supercup, the one make competition that gathers the best drivers on high level races on the same tracks as the Formula 1 races, as an aperitive for the single-seater races.
RAFA VILLANUEVA, our big bet
During this perio of races and settlement of the team we have been always in contact with national and international drivers, and after some positive tests with the Porsche 911 GT3 CUP the driver Rafa Villanueva will be the one who participate at the next raceo f the Porsche Carrera Cup France at Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, next 16-18th september. He will drive Almeras Porsche, an experienced partner team where RGB gives support in all its races.
The spanish 21 years old driver from Madrid has participated at the spanish F4 and has experience in GT after his performance at the GT4 European Series, accumulating more tan 50 races contested. In the previous test eith the Porsche he showed us his fast learning and with his youth and ambition he has ahead a promising career where RGB Racing Team will be at his side for giving him strucute and use all the experience that we have in competition.
