We happily announce our participation on the next coming PORSCHE SPRINT CHALLENGE IBERICA with 2 drivers line-up

The wait is over, our team has begun the year by giving support in races such as the 24h Series or the Ferrari Challenge. We also have done track days with our clients and drivers and our engineers and mechanics have been testing with other teams for the next coming challenges. Now is the moment for the team to participate on a competition: The Porsche Sprint Challenge Iberica.

In less than 2 weeks we’ll start the competition in Portimão on a special weekend as support to the FIA World Endurance Championship second race next 16 April.  The Autodromo do Algarve will be the first circuit of this Iberian championship and will be followed by Motorland in Spain on may. Here you have the racing calendar:

P21 Motorsport is the promoter of this new championship that evolves from the GT3 Cup celebrated in 2021 and 2022. This will be the race format:

To participate in this challenge we have just confirmed our 2 cars line-up:

We’re looking forward to start racing with them and we hope that they’ll be on top.

We’ll update news and results on our social media, so this is the right moment to follow us on Twiter, Instagram and Youtube. We’ll be back in 9 DAYS.

STAY TUNED

We’re still closing our line up but we’re excited to announce our full participation in the next new PORSCHE SPRINT CHALLENGE IBERICA

With the label of official competition recognised by Porsche Motorsport the PSCI starts in 2023 with 6 rounds at the Iberian Peninsula.

P21 Motorsport is the promoter of this new championship that evolves from the GT3 Cup celebrated in 2021 and 2022. It adds 1 round to the calendar and some changes in race format:

Our team will fight for this championship and we’re now defining our line-up, confirming that Dani García is our first AM driver. We are now testing with Dani to prepare for the season and the weekend 25-26 March we’ll be at Portimao for a track day.

STAY TUNNED

This is our last race on the Arabian Emirates. Last week our crew at the car #929 did a great performance finishing on the podium of the 992 AM class. Now it’s time to fight for the gold.

We’re still thinking on last #24HDubai and the fantastic result reached by our team with a P2 on the 992AM Class, but there’s no time yet to celebrate because we face this weekend our last Arabian race of the 2H Series. After Kuwait and Dubai, we race at the #6HAbuDHabi.

Drivers, mechanics and engineers are enthusiastic with last weekend’s results and we believe that we could achieve a better result this weekend, giving it all to get the gold in our class. Once more our team will give engineering and mechanic support to Qatar Motorsport & Motorcycle Federation and team HRT Performance with the Porsche GT3 Cup #929.

Don’t miss the #929

We’re ready to the fight

The year starts with a huge warm up for our team, participating in next Hankook 24H of Dubai as support for the team QMMF by HRT. And 3 of our Master students will join us for a an amazing practice experience.

OFFICIAL POSTER for the 24H DUBAI

Our engine is always on, jumping to one race to the next wherever our engineers and mechanics can give their professional performance. As we announced last month we are participating with engineering and mechanical support with the Qatar Motor & Motocycle Federation and the team HRT to bring 5 Porsche GT3 to the Hankook 24h Dubai, the second of the three races that the 24H Series have in the Arab Emirates, finishing the “Arab season” at the 6h Abu Dhabi next week.

Participating on a endurance race is the best way to understand the car, the team, the drivers and the strategy, and this will be the best preparation for our team, while we continue defining our 2023 calendar, full of races and different competitions. And for sure this 24h race will be the best practice experience for our students of the Master’s Degree in Motorsport Engineering from the University Antonio Nebrija. Three of these students have come to Dubai with us to live a real experience and prove what they’ve learnt on the Master. Being on the track with the team, cars and drivers gives them a 360º perspective of the atmosphere of a race and for sure they’ll enjoy this unique experience.

There’s no time to stop, since Monday we’re testing the cars and preparing for the 24H race. Here you have the list of the 5 Porsche that will be supported by our engineers and mechanics:

Our team’s engineers and mechanics never stop. This weekend we’ll be at Kuwait for the 24H Series 12H of Kuwait. We’re B A C K on T R A C K

OFFICIAL POSTER for the 12H KUWAIT

It probably seems that after the last race of the Porsche Carrera Cup France at Paul Ricard we stopped competing, but our team’s crew is always open to our clients and to the need for speed. At the beginning of November, we we’re at the Motorland Circuit (Aragón-Spain) for a track day with some of best clients and with the students of the Master at Competition Engineering of the Universidad Nebrija, our partner in our project #lemans25.

Some days later a list of AM drivers from Kuwait visited us for some simulator sessions at our headquarters in Madrid. This was the beginning of our next project: we’ll give engineering and giving mechanic support to the HRT Team at the second to last race of the 24H SERIES championship. After the tests on the simulator we moved again to Motorland, where we were testing for the race, and this week we have come to Kuwait Motor Town for the race.

Tests, track days, simulator practices and data analysis, our engine is always on and we continue expanding our racing experiences, moving everywhere to be where the races are happening.

The Porsche Carrera Cup France has finished the season at Paul Ricard this weekend. Marvin Klein gets the drivers title and the team Martinet by Alméras, the one where our team participates, has taken the teams title.

Probably this wasn’t the weekend expected by our driver Rafa Villanueva, who arrived to its second round to the competition after his first performance at Valencia last month. His goal for this last two races of the championship was to be at P10 at the end, but we’ve seen that this is a higher level of competition and Rafa knows that this Porsche GT3 Cup is harder to drive as his precedent cars.

Practice sessions showed how drivers wanted to give everything in a circuit where we are used to continuous track limits penalties. While championship winner Marvin Klein did 2:06.032 as best time on practice, Villanueva couldn’t go ahead of 2:07.872, which was his best lap of the weekend. Track limits advice didn’t help to get a faster lap. The qualifying session was determined once again by infractions, and he was penalized to start at the end of the grid on both races.

Our spanish driver Rafa Villanueva faces his second assault to the Porsche Carrera Cup France this weekend at Paul Ricard for the last two races of the championship.

As we confirmed chating with him on our last interview, Rafa Villanueva is focused on his evolution on GT3 and after his performance with the Porsche GT3 Cup at Valencia he comes more confident to his second round at the one-make series.

Paul Ricard (Le Castellet) will be the home for the end of the championship, celebrating the last two races next wekend.

Follow the results and enjoy the races on live streaming. Here you have the schedule for this weekend and all the access for not losing anything of our driver’s performance with the Almeras Porsche #911.

After his first performance on the Porsche Carrera Cup France we had the opportunity o chating with the driver Rafa Villanueva bout that first assault to the one-make series and took that moment to review with him his first steps on the motorsport, his jump into the GT3 with our team RGB and his experience after his first two races on the PCCF.

Rafa Villanueva has told us how he began in the races, later than what we are used to on any other driver. He spoke about his accidents, his highlights and also he spoke about what it was to adapt to the Porsche GT3 Cup. Now that he knows the car and the competition, we’re waiting his new assault within two weeks at the Paul Ricard. Circuit.

Now you can watch the complete interview at our channel.

After almost one year out of competitions the spanish driver Rafa Villanueva jumped into a Porsche GT3 CUP for his premier at the Porsche Carrera Cup France. Good impressions on what has been no doubt his baptism in this series.

Driving an Almeras Porsche and with our team`s support hehas been adapting to the car during the wekend after just two previous privatetests. The driver has shown his enthusiasm with his progression and has provedthe high level of this competition. During the practice sessions he has beenevolving and on the Qualifying he reached P12 for the both races of theweekend. This was his evolution in times:

Private Test Thursday > 1:36.064 (+1.313) P10

Free Practice 1 Friday> 1:37.035 (+1.026) P11

Free Practice 2 Friday > 1:36.974 (+1.374) P11

Qualifying 1 saturday > 1:35.556 (+1.329) P12

Qualifying 2 saturday > 1:35.621 (+1.349) P12

Race1 was complicated but let him experience how his rivals don’t let anything on track and he could live the level of this one-make competition, one of the bests inside the Porsche series that are the basement for the Supercup.

VILLANUEVA AGAINST THE RAIN ON RACE 2

The start was delayed because of the rain menace, and later it was cut into 25 minutes. All the crews made the cars return to the pitlane to decide what was the best wheels strategy for the race. After two more formation laps Race Directiongave green flag and just on the first lap the drops started to fall on the track, changing into a hard rain and a new return to the pitlane.

Rafa Villanueva remained on track while his rivals where one by one going to box for wheels change climbing into third position, but it was clear that driving with those wheels was imposible and finally he went into box for the wet wheels, returning on P14.

After Ghiretti’s out of track the safety car got into the track, still under the rain. Drivers where regrouped and the race was relaunched when 11 minutes remained. Despite the hard conditions and being just on his second race with the Porsche T3 CUP Villanueva could overcome one position and get advantage of the race incidents, finishing with a very satisfying P11 and coming home with very optimistic feelings for the next race, the last event of the season on Paul Ricard circuit next 14-16 october.

The Spanish Driver could drive yesterday at Ricardo Tormo Circuit at his first test on his premiere weekend at the Porsche Carrera Cup France, high level competition which is part of the Porsche’s one-make series and its level of performance is one of the highest.

On his first kilometers at the spanish track the driver reached P10, waiting for today’s first free practice where we’´ll see the level which drivers have in this circuit.

Follow the results and enjoy on streaming the races. Here you have the schedule for this weekend and all the access for not losing anything of our driver’s performance with the Almeras Porsche #911.
